Field Guide

The graphic design students class of Fall 2023 were assigned to design a creative field guide book. Which involved starting with choosing a theme. The theme I chose was peppers, hot ones hence the title Flamin’ Peppers. Transforming type into a pictorial element vs a photo or illustration. Creating art out of different typefaces and glyphs. I wanted to portray flavor, heat and spice into my field guide so I went with colors and rules that would represent heat, as long as my peppers themselves some rounded in shape and others prickly with heat.
